Catherine Hardwicke recently secured the funding she needs to get properly to work on her new thriller Plush. She’s not wasting any time recruiting more cast members for the movie, with Frances Fisher now signed on.
Plush finds Emily Browning as a rising rock star who descends into a depression spiral after one of her band mates – who also happens to be her brother – dies following a drug overdose.
But she finds new inspiration (not to mention more) in replacement guitarist (Xavier Samuel) who arrives to take his place. That is, until she realises that he might just be a madman.
Fisher is joining a cast that also includes Cam Gigandet as, we’re assuming, Browning’s hubby (she’s apparently married with two kids, and Fisher’s character will be her new nanny).
Hardwicke co-wrote the movie with Artie Nelson and is gearing up to start shooting soon. Fisher, last seen in** The Lincoln Lawyer**, will next crop up in The Congress and The Hos****t.
