25 years since Andie MacDowell hadn’t noticed it was still raining, the cast of Four Weddings And A Funeral is reuniting for a mini-sequel. Richard Curtis has gathered the stars of his break-out rom-com for a Comic Relief short – much like he did with 2017’s Red Nose Day Actually – including the likes of Hugh Grant, Kristin Scott Thomas, Rowan Atkinson, and MacDowell herself. The first shot has been released, showing the gang back together ahead of some fresh nuptials – fitting, given its title One Red Nose Day And A Wedding.
The short has been directed by Mike Newell, who helmed the original ’94 classic, and will pick up 25 years after the film’s heartwarming finale. It’s also expected that a few special guests will turn up – but those details are under wraps.
One Red Nose Day And A Wedding will air during the Comic Relief show on BBC One on Friday 15 March. Until then, we’ll be staring dreamily at the above shot and wondering how they all still look so good, two and a half decades on.
