Only yesterday we heard the news that Jessica Biel would be playing Vera Miles, and now Variety brings us four more cast members for the impressive repertory company making up **Alfred Hitchcock And The Making Of Psycho. Michael Wincott, Toni Collette, Danny Huston and Michael Stuhlbarg are all likely to join the already-cast Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, James D'Arcy and Scarlett Johansson.

Collette is in line to play Peggy Robertson, Hitchcock's production assistant, responsible for bringing him Robert Bloch's novel, despite its previous rejection by Paramount as suitable material for filming.

Huston may face a scheduling clash with the Starz series Magic City, but is up for Whitfield Cook, who co-wrote Stage Fright with Hitchcock's wife Alma Reville and was a close friend of the couple.

Stuhlbarg is Lew Wasserman, the powerhouse Hollywood talent agent who represented Hitchcock.

And Wincott, not one to shy away from playing a creepy bastard, will be Ed Gein, the notorious serial killer who provided the inspiration for Norman Bates.

Alfred Hitchcock And The Making Of Psycho centers on the relationship between Hitchcock and Reville, as Hitch tries to get Psycho financed. Hopkins is Hitch, Mirren is Reville, D'Arcy is Anthony Perkins and Johansson is Janet Leigh; the director is Sacha Gervasi (Anvil! The Story Of Anvil); and it's written by John McLaughlin (Black Swan), adapted from Stephen Rebello's book. The updates are coming thick and fast at the moment, so watch this space for more developments.
