Francis Ford Coppola is editing the $60 million epic Supernova in an effort to salvage the troubled sci-fi picture. According to a report in Variety, Coppola is understood to be working on the picture which has been stranded on the studio shelves after both directors previously involved in the project walked out in frustration. Both Geoffrey Wright and Walter Hill have requested that their directors credits are removed from the movie starring James Spader and Angela Bassett. Studio insiders hope that the movie will be ready for release during summer 2000.
