With shooting set to begin in less than a month it's about time the last pieces of the casting puzzle fell into place for Mission: Impossible 3 and it's cause for a certain degree of celebration. Don't get us wrong, the franchise has never been wanting in the big name department but it's somewhat reassuring that Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Carrie-Anne Moss and the gang will now be joined by the oh-so-very-cool Laurence Fishburne. That's the good news, the bad news is we have no idea what role he'll be playing. This shouldn't come as a huge surprise though, given how little is known about the plot of the film itself - almost nothing in fact, except that Cruise's Ethan Hunt will be sent on a mission and that, in all likelihood, it will be very hard indeed. Still, after his unnerving turn as crime kingpin Marion Bishop in Assault on Precinct 13, we wouldn't be at all surprised if Fishburne's intentions toward are hero are less than honourable. Filming begins in Italy on 18 July under the watchful eye of Alias and Lost creator JJ Abrams.
