Continuing his commitment to unusual and interesting acting work, we've known Daniel Radcliffe would be playing "Weird Al" Yankovic in a new, exceedingly true biopic of the maverick parody musician. The first teaser for the movie has arrived via Yankovic himself.
The film, at least according to official synopsis, will chart Yankovic’s rise to fame through his early parody tunes, as well as “his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle”.
Initial imagery of Radcliffe showed that he had the hair (well, a wig, unless he went full follicle method) and the accordion-slinging down pat. Now the trailer proves he has the voice and mannerisms too.
With Evan Rachel Wood (as Madonna), Julianne Nicholson, Rainn Wilson and Toby Huss also in the cast, the movie will arrive via the Roku Channel, though no date has been announced just yet.
