A sheer burst of lunatic fun from 30 Rock duo Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt delivered on its promise and spawned a terrifying catchy ear worm with its theme. The second season is headed our way and appears to offer more of the same.
Kimmy's (Ellie Kemper) still trying to get her life sorted out after spending 15 years in a bunker, held there by a mad doomsday "prophet". From the looks of the trailer, she's now taken a job as an elf in a Christmas store (surely the perfect job for the perennially upbeat Kimmy) and might even have a chance at a new romance.
But there are still things to deal with, such as the re-emergency of trophy wife Jacqueline Voorhees (Jane Krakowski), now trying to break away from her wealthy hubby while staying in the lifestyle to which she has long become accustomed. And there's Titus Andromedon (Tituss Burgess), Kimmy's roommate and still an endless font of catchphrases and odd behaviours.
Oh, and there's a bunny and a kitty being best friends. What more do you want? Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is back via Netflix on April 15. And now you have the theme song in your head again, don't you? Damnit!
