Judging by this first trailer for Jason Reitman's follow-up to Labor Day, we can expect a heck of a lot of text messaging, social networking and internet surfing in Men, Women & Children. But we can expect that all to be done by a truly impressive ensemble cast, which should make it interesting stuff. Take a gander below.

That clip certainly promises high drama and high stakes, but beyond that it doesn't give a huge amount away. The official synopsis has it that the film, "follows the story of a group of high school teenagers and their parents as they attempt to navigate the many ways the internet has changed their relationships, their communication, their self-image, and their love lives. The film attempts to stare down social issues such as video game culture, anorexia, infidelity, fame hunting, and the proliferation of illicit material on the internet. As each character and each relationship is tested, we are shown the variety of roads people choose - some tragic, some hopeful - as it becomes clear that no one is immune to this enormous social change that has come through our phones, our tablets, and our computers."

Let's hope that the film doesn't just look at the dark side of the internet but also considers the many cat videos and quality film magazine sites on offer.

The cast includes Adam Sandler, Ansel Elgort, Dean Norris, Dennis Haysbert, Emma Thompson, Jennifer Garner, J.K. Simmons, Judy Greer, Kaitlyn Dever and Rosemarie DeWitt. There's no confirmed UK release date yet, but we'd expect to see **Men, Women & Children **in an awards season near you after it screens in Toronto next month.
