The wait is finally over: after years of delays and reshoots and changed plans, the trailer for Chaos Walking is finally here. The first film adaptation from Patrick Ness' book trilogy of the same name was first announced in 2011, with confirmed cast members attached in 2016. Shooting began the following year, with reshoots to follow in 2018 which then got delayed to 2019... and now here we are at last, with something to look forward to.

Chaos Walking stars Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley in the dystopian film, directed by Doug Liman – taking over from Robert Zemeckis who was originally attached to direct in 2013. The film adapts the first book in Ness' series, The Knife of Never Letting Go. Chaos Walking also features Mads Mikkelsen, Cynthia Erivo, Nick Jonas, David Oyelowo, Demián Bichir and Kurt Sutter.

The plot description for the film reads: 'In the not too distant future, Todd Hewitt (Tom Holland) discovers Viola (Daisy Ridley), a mysterious girl who crash lands on his planet, where all the women have disappeared and the men are afflicted by "the Noise" – a force that puts all their thoughts on display. In this dangerous landscape, Viola’s life is threatened – and as Todd vows to protect her, he will have to discover his own inner power and unlock the planet’s dark secrets.'
