Remember Vin Diesel? He was set to be the next big thing earlier in the decade and then disappeared, resurfacing every now and again to talk about plans to make a biopic of Hannibal. Well, he's planning a glorious return to the multiplex with Babylon A.D., a sci-fi action flick directed by Mathieu Kassovitz. IGN has the film's first trailer here.
In the film, Diesel plays a soldier-turned-mercenary who takes the job of moving a mysterious young woman from Russia to China to avoid a strange cult getting their hands on her and possibly taking control of the world. He nearly lets her get set on fire at the end – handily, she's apparently Teflon-coated – but everyone has their off days.
