"I shall stay until the wind changes," said Julie Andrews' Mary Poppins in 1964. And with gusts, (possibly from the east suggesting change is in store) causing trouble for the kites in Hyde Park, it looks as if another change has brought her back. Check out the first teaser trailer for Mary Poppins Returns, this time starring Emily Blunt as the P.L. Travers' titular magical nanny, with Ben Whishaw and Emily Mortimer as the grown up Michael and Jane Banks.

Into The Woods' Rob Marshall has directed the film, working from a script by David Magee that draws on material from Travers' other Poppins novels. Set roughly 20 years after the original Disney classic, the story this time finds Poppins headed back to the Banks family in Depression-era London to find that her charges Jane and Michael once again need a little help re-discovering the joy in life after a personal loss.

She'll have the aid of lamplighter Jack (played with typically theatrical ability by Lin-Manuel Miranda and cousin Topsy (Meryl Streep). Colin Firth, Angela Lansbury and Julie Walters are all part of the cast for this one, with original Mary co-star Dick Van Dyke popping up for a gor-blimey cameo.

Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman provided the all-important music and lyrics for this one, and Mary Poppins Returns will be out in the UK on 21 December.
