While the first two Pitch Perfect movies featured a capella group the Barden Bellas competing for glory in college and then world championships. But things are different for them in the third film, which has its first trailer online.
This time around, the core characters are out of college and discovering that making it in the real world is not quite as secure as the halls of academia or the music stage. They might have found singing success, but that doesn't translate into good job prospects.
But when Anna Camp's Audrey suggests they could score a place on a USO overseas tour, the likes of Becca (Anna Kendrick), Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson), Chloe (Brittany Snow) and Emily (Hailee Steinfeld) jump at the chance, even if it means dealing with more traditional bands and their aca-prejudice.
Dogged as ever by commentators-turned-warped (and still negative) Greek chorus Gail (Elizabeth Banks) and John (John Michael Higgins), the Bellas will have to prove themselves all over again. If they can avoid the usual bad decisions... With Trish Sie in the director's chair this time, Pitch Perfect 3 will be out on 22 December.
