What's the film you're most looking forward to in 2009? Watchmen? Star Trek? No, of course the answer is Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. Well, lucky you, EW has four new images from the movie, right here.

The third in the vampires v. werewolves series is a prequel, chronicling how the battle between the bloodsuckers and lycanthropes began. Lady In Form Fitting Black Costume duties are this time taken over by Rhona Mitra (Doomsday), stepping in for Kate Beckinsale, playing a woman in love with a werewolf (Michael Sheen, who appeared in the first film) and battling the vampires. Bill Nighy resumes his role as a vampire king.

The first two were not what one might call cinema classics, unless one were particularly confused about the definition of classic, but the presence of Nighy means that hope must be held.
