With the cinema chain convention (called, as you might guess, CinemaCon) now in full swing in Las Vegas, the studios are presenting their wares for the coming months. 20th Century Fox is scheduled to show off some of The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty later in the week, but has chosen to place a picture with the LA Times, which you can see above.
Directed by and starring Ben Stiller, Walter Mitty updates the story from the 1947 Danny Kaye-starring version with Stiller as the titular Mitty. Our Walter is a timid, hesitant type, a photo manager for a New York magazine, who is usually content to live life vicariously through daydreams. When one of the pictures in his charge goes missing, he must embark on a real-life adventure and finally comes to realise his true capabilities.
The film features an ensemble that includes Kristen Wiig, Adam Scott, Patton Oswalt and Shirley MacLaine. We’ll report more on the movie when we’ve seen the footage, and it’ll arrive in UK cinemas on December 26.
