The cameras have been rolling for a short while now on Paddingtondirector Paul King's Wonka, charting the early days of the amazing chocolatier. Which means that star Timothée Chalamet has suited up to play the younger version of the character. And, taking to Twitter, Chalamet has now revealed the first look at one of his outfits from the film.
Wonka, co-written by King and Simon Farnaby (after a host of other drafts were pumped out during development), has offered little in terms of story hints beyond that Willy-Wonka-earlier-days concept.
We do know that the cast is stacked with great actors, a mix of Paddington veterans and others, including Rowan Atkinson, Olivia Colman, Sally Hawkins Tom Davis, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Matt Lucas, Jim Carter, Rich Fulcher, Paterson Joseph, Calah Lane, Colin O’Brien, Natasha Rothwell, Rakhee Thakrar, Keegan-Michael Key and Ellie White.
The film will sing its way into cinemas on 17 March 2023.
