We've seen the concept art, and now here's our first official look at the actual Yellowjacket armour that Corey Stoll will be sporting in Ant-Man. Facing off against Paul Rudd's lately miniaturised Scott Lang, Stoll's Darren Cross has his own shrinkable costume, and something of an advantage, since his apparently includes plasma weapons. Hence the expression, "Never bring an ant suit to a plasma weapon fight".
Cross is the main challenge for Lang and Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym, since he also has access to the “Pym Particles” that can shrink matter and has crafted a more dangerous version of the Ant-Man suit for his own nefarious ends.
It’s interesting to call Cross a big bad since he’ll spend some of the time as tiny as our hero, but he’s certainly a wrong ‘un. With Peyton Reed directing the film and Judy Greer, Bobby Cannavale, Wood Harris, Jordi Mollà, T.I., Martin Donovan, Michael Peña and John Slattery among the cast, Ant-Man hits UK screens on July 17.
