It's a good time to be a fan of Resident Evil adaptations, as the animated version (Infinite Darkness) is on Netflix, a live-action show is in the works and we have fresh movie take Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City on the way. The first images from the new film, featuring stars Kaya Scodelario, Avan Jogia, Hannah John-Kamen, Nathan Dales, Chad Rook, Robbie Amell, Marina Mazepa and Tom Hopper.
This latest cine-version swerves away from the Milla Jovovich-starring franchise, and is firmly based on the first two games, looking to chronicle Raccoon City went from being a city of industry to a dying Midwestern town that’s become ground zero for the t-Virus outbreak.

With Johannes Roberts writing and directing, the film promises more game-faithful takes on Claire Redfield (Scodelario) and brother Chris (Amell), plus Leon S. Kennedy (Jogia), Albert Wesker (Hopper), Richard Aiken (Rook), Jill Valentine (John-Kamen), and Lisa Trevor (Marina Mazepa), the tragic victim of Umbrella Corporation experiments.
