Besides knowing that a lot of the actors will be back for the Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle sequel, few details have emerged. Now we do at least have a first look at the main cast, with Dwayne Johnson taking to Instagram to spotlight the leads, posing on set with Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart and Jack Black.
The huge success of the first film – well, the second in the Jumanji universe – meant that the sequel was all but a foregone conclusion, and indeed director Jake Kasdan is back at work, this time also co-writing the new movie. As for what will happen to Johnson's Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Hart's Franklin "Mouse" Finbar, Black's Professor Sheldon Oberon and Gillan's Ruby Roundhouse this time (plus their game-playing human counterparts) is unknown as yet, but The Rock's Instagram post hints that things may not be as they seem....
With Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner and Ser'Darius Blain all back as the humans, Rhys Darby returning as exposition-happy Non Player Character Nigel and new recruits including Danny DeVito and Awkwafina, the sequel will emerge on 13 December.
