In the last few years, Netflix's deep pockets have permitted it to pick up projects from some of the biggest names in the movie business, and to attract others to its own movies. And nowhere is that clearer than the company's new 2022 preview, which boasts one of the starriest line-ups around, including Chris Evans (sporting a 'tache that would probably have Steve Rogers commenting, "son, just don't"), Halle Berry, Ryan Reynolds, Daniel Craig, Jamie Foxx, Henry Cavill and others.
Most of the glimpses here are very quick, and we can only assume the actors and other filmmakers raised their eyebrows at having to film moments where characters break the fourth wall to address the camera (though it works well for the Enola Holmes 2 tease, as Millie Bobby Brown's title character wonders why everyone is pulling off her trick).
Movies teased here including Knives Out 2 (for which Netflix famously splashed a lot of cash to fund two sequels from Rian Johnson), the Russo brothers' action thriller The Gray Man, starring Evans and Ryan Gosling, two new offerings from streaming service stalwart Adam Sandler (Spaceman and Hustle) and work from everyone including Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Noah Baumbach, George C. Wolfe, Paul Feig, Richard Linklater, Tyler Perry... the list goes on and on.
The plan here is for a new film every week all year, so we hope you'll be clearing space in your diaries. Kids, ask your parents what a diary was.
