Finding The Informers

A new Brett Easton Ellis adaptation

It looks like yet another work by literary bad boy Brett Easton Ellis is headed to the screen.

Because Nicholas Jarecki is about to start work on Ellis’ short story collection The Informers. He’ll write with the novelist – who is taking an active part for the first time – and direct the eventual film, as Senator Entertainment have bought the rights to the stories.

The plot revolves around a loosely connected batch of tales set during a week in LA in 1983, and featuring movie types, rock stars, a bloodsucker (in LA? How would anyone tell?) and other criminal types with stories full of Ellis’ stock in trade- sex, drugs and violence.
