Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are tightening their grip on the comedy world. They haven’t announced their next film following racing comedy Talladega Nights, but they have given birth to a beautiful, bouncing baby production company.
Gary Sanchez Productions will be based at the newly named Paramount indie arm Vantage. And they’ll have to stick to films with budgets under $15 million.
As for the name? Sanchez is a former American footballer who happens to be mates with the pair.
"Adam and I have been looking forward to setting up a company for a long time," Ferrell told Variety. "And with Mr. Sanchez's support and vision, we look forward to a long and productive partnership. Viva Paraguay!"
"He is like a spiritual leader for us. He provides moral support and finances outside entertainment,” added McKay. Not exactly need to know stuff, but still –Ferrell and McKay working to produce quality comedy will hopefully guarantee more decent laughs.
