We all know that Vin Diesel is a big fan of the FAMILY element in the Fast & Furious movies. And particularly that of his character, Dominic Toretto. As time moves forward for the Fast crew, Dom's young son Brian is aging up too, and will be played in Fast X by Leo Abelo Perry.
The child Toretto had with Elena Neves (Elsa Pataky), in 2017’s Fast & Furious 8 he was kidnapped as an infant along with his mother and used by Cipher (Charlize Theron) to blackmail Dom. Though Elena is eventually killed, he is rescued by Deckard (Jason Statham) and Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), and Dom names him after his friend Brian O’Conner (the late Paul Walker). In 2021’s Fast & Furious 9 he's seen living with Dom and stepmom Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) at their farmhouse.
How he factors into Fast X remains to be seen, though Perry's hiring suggests it'll be more of an important role than just brief appearances.
Petty was most recently on screens playing Chip in a 30th anniversary show of Beauty And The Beast (which is on Disney+) and was one of the young actors in the streaming services recent remake of Cheaper By The Dozen.
As for Fast X, the film will be in cinemas on 19 May.
