Following a tease earlier in the week, the first trailer for Fast & Furious 9, or F9: The Fast Saga as it's now known, has screeched in, looking to make an impact before the Super Bowl swamps the weekend's coverage. And from the looks of this, Vin Diesel's character is putting the "Dom" in "domestic", at least until he's drawn back into action...
Launched with much of its own hoopla (how many films can boast that their trailer was debuted as part of a concert event?), the new trailer finds the Fast gang still doing what they do best: vehicular mayhem in the quest to battle baddies. In this case, the threat comes from the combined forces of John Cena, playing (spoiler alert) Dom's younger brother, and Charlize Theron's returning Cypher, who has more tricks up her sleeve.
And amidst the usual chaos, there's one final twisty sting that we won't mention here, other than it means a certain amount of... justice.
The new movie will unleash its patented blend of fast cars and family in the UK on 22 May.
