Fast & Furious 9 (which goes by F9 in the States right now, because who has time for titles and such?) is among the crop of movies that actually had a trailer out during last year's Super Bowl. Well, we all know what happened after that, and it is currently scheduled for May of this year. We'll see if that sticks, but for now, enjoy the new footage.

The story – look, there is one, right – finds Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and his son, little Brian, but they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. This time, that threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past if he’s going to save those he loves most. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob (John Cena).

Justin Lin returns as director, while the action hurtles around the globe — from London to Tokyo, from Central America to Edinburgh, and from a secret bunker in Azerbaijan to the teeming streets of Tbilisi. Along the way, old friends will be resurrected, old foes will return, history will be rewritten, and the true meaning of family will be tested like never before...

Asked if Dom misses his old life, he answers, "every day". You and us both, Dom. You and us both.
