She’s been building an international presence by signing on to X-Men: Days Of Future Past (and making a brief appearance in the extra footage added to Iron Man 3 for Chinese audiences), but Fan Bingbing needs no such boost at home, where she’s already a huge star. The actress is now set to appear opposite Jackie Chan in action comedy **Skiptrace{
Chan cooked up the idea, and will play Hong Kong detective who joins forces with a gambler (yet to be cast) to take down the area’s most notorious criminal. Joe Longino wrote the English-language script alongside Sitter men Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka.
There’s no word on a director (there’s always a chance Chan could take the job himself) or the role that Bingbing will play in the movie, but she and Chan will be on hand in Cannes to help promote the film to international distributors.
As mentioned, Bingbing will be part of the sprawling **Days Of Future Past **cast. Chan will next appear in Chinese Zodiac, which doesn’t yet have a UK distributor. Still, given that he was credited as star, director, writer, executive producer, producer, catering coordinator, set production assistant, composer, theme song writer, unit production manager, props master, art director and more on that one, chances are he might just be willing to bring it to local cinemas himself.
