Director F. Gary Gray has been leaping around genres of late, and is in the midst of finishing Men In Black: International. He's now targeting a video game adaptation as a future project, looking to make a film based on the successful Saints Row series.
Created by Deep Silver Volition, Row spans four installments and has become one of the top selling video game franchises of all time. It tells the story of the rise of the Third Street Saints as they battle rival gangs in an attempt to conquer the fictional cities of Stilwater and Steelport.
Gray's Fenix Studios company has Greg Russo (who is at work on another game adaptation, the latest Mortal Kombat reboot for Warners) ready to write the script for the movie. It's early days, but it could end up as Gray's next film. He's also attached to produce a film based on lesser known game title Echo, with John Wick veteran Derek Kolstad at work on that one.
As for Men In Black: International, the latest in the comics-based franchise will land on 14 June.
