The Exorcist Has Begun

Two new trailers have turned up on line - the eerie first trailer for Exorcist: The Beginning and the much chirpier Wimbledon. So what's the verdict? The Exorcist: The Beginning trailer starts with familiar clips from the original Exorcist film, which begin to play in reverse and lead us back in time to a younger Father Merrin (Stellan Skarsgard) exploring some rather eerie holes in the ground. It's not much to go on, but this looks pretty dark and demonic to us. The trailer is in Windows MediaPlayer format so it is a little temperamental, but you can check it out for yourself here Meanwhile, on the sunny side of the street, Wimbledon promises to be a sparkly rom-com. Stars Paul Bettany and Kirsten Dunst both look the part of professional tennis players and the supporting cast include Sam Neill as the father of Kirsten Dunst's character, Jon Favreau as a slimy sports agent and the fabulous John McEnroe as, well, himself.
