It's been over a decade since the release of cult teen movie The Lost Boys, but now Warner Bros is planning a spin-off movie, The Lost Girls. Speaking to Empire magazine this month, director Joel Schumacher explained the set-up. 'There's always been a desire at Warner Bros to do a sequel,' Schumacher says, 'and I always felt there was no sequel to Lost Boys because, of course, the Lost Boys are all dead, and unlike Friday The 13th and Halloween and Freddie Krueger, we're not going to bring them all back from the dead. 'So what I suggested to them was that they do Lost Girls, because I thought girl vampires on motorcycles would be sexy and funny and something that I'd like to see. They are working on that and they made me executive producer because I made the first one, but I won't be directing.' Batman and Robin If you want to find out whether Joel's ever tried on a batsuit, or what he really thought of Batman and Robin or whether there was any truth in Bono being considered for a role as a Batman baddy - then you'll just have to buy Empire magazine. You'll find it out on the newsstands on 1 November 2000.
