Nicolas Cage has signed up for the lead role in Ghost Rider according to Empire Online's impeccable source - Jon Voight. Interviewed for Empire magazine's regular Public Access section, Voight - who's one of the film's producers - confirmed Cage's involvement as follows: 'It's very exciting - we've got the script and Nic Cage is going to do it. It's going to be quite terrific.' Ghost Rider is yet another comic-to-film adaptation, and will be directed by Stephen Norrington who brought Marvel Comics' Blade to the big screen. For those of you who aren't au fait with the story, the Ghost Rider in question is a motorbike stuntman, who makes a pact with dark forces to save his girlfriend's life. When the pact falls apart - the stuntman becomes a demon whose life work becomes tracking down bad guys. Voight goes on to suggest he may appear in as well as produce Ghost Rider. 'I may be acting in it,' Voight tells Empire. 'I grew up with comics. I'm a fan of things of the imagination. Science fiction gives you a achance to use your imagination and lets you paint with a larger brush, so I like that.'
