Ewan McGregor was in a talkative mood when Empire Online stopped him for a chat at the Empire Awards, and one of the first things he wanted to tell us about was his new project with Renee Zellweger which will be filming in the States this summer. 'It's called Down With Love and it's a film that's based on the sex comedies that Rock Hudson and Doris day did, and Cary Grant. But it's a new script, not a rewrite. Not only will the script be a homage to its sixties inspirations, but the production will embrace the old school values as well. 'It's going to be shot like one of those sixties movies,' Ewan told us, 'so we're going to film it all in the studio. It'll be back projection in the cars, and split screens and we'll do all the outside scenes in New York in the back lot in Universal or wherever.' If Renee is playing a female advice author, what's Ewan's role in all this? 'I play a bloke called Catcher Block? He's a ladies man, man's man, man about town. Bit of an all-round kind of guy. It should be right scream I reckon.' And what about the other, oft-mentioned project, Attack of the Clones? 'Star Wars 2 is looking really, really good,' he enthused. 'I saw a lot of my stuff while we were doing the looping and it looks really full-on. The title's not a good title but there we are. He keeps that completely to himself George. No one ever knows what it's going to be called and then one day it's just announced and he doesn't let anybody know. When I initially heard about it I was doing a press line up in America and somebody went, 'What do you think of Attack of The Clones' and I said 'I didn't see it.' So they said 'No, what do you think of that?' And they hadn't even fucking told me, you know? So I said 'I think it sounds terrible, because it does sound like a sort of 40s
