That’s no moon... it’s a magazine cover! As we teased on social media yesterday, the new issue of Empire is now in range, and with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story less than a month away, we naturally couldn’t resist the opportunity for another Star Wars. Today we can proudly unveil what subscribers will be having plopping on their doormats in the next few days.

Empire Rogue One cover

Seeing as Rogue One details a band of Rebels tasked with stealing the plans for the Death Star, it made sense that we give those momentous plans centre-stage, complete with superlaser details and technical writing (though you will need to be at least conversational in Aurabesh).

We’ll be revealing the main newsstand cover next week, ahead of the issue going on sale to all good and Imperial newsagents from Thursday 24 November. As you’d expect, it’s chock full of Rogue One goodness, including interviews with director Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Forest Whitaker and Riz Ahmed.

The cover above, of course, is exclusive to Empire subscribers only. Fancy getting an exclusive limited edition cover like this one every month? You’ll want to subscribe to Empire{ =nofollow}, which includes the option of an instant digital subscription. Rogue One, meanwhile, blasts into UK cinemas on 15 December, arriving a day later in the US.
