This September sees Empire taking over London’s O2 in the way only we can. As well as all the usual Empire Magazine fun and games (the Empire Podcast! Pint Of Milk!), Empire Live will be bringing you preview screenings, interviews, and lots of still-to-be-announced events. In a day of bumper Empire Live news, we’ve announced three new screenings that will be taking place when you turn up to The O2 on September 23-25.
First up is a special Labyrinth screening, followed by a Q&A with the film’s conceptual designer Brian Froud and creature workshop artist, Wendy Froud. And yes, masquerade ball attire is encouraged – the perfect tribute to the late Goblin King, we’re sure you’ll agree.
Next up is a special preview of John Michael McDonagh’s War On Everyone. With The Guard and Calvary receiving five-star reviews from Empire, we’re eagerly anticipating his new film. (And even more excited to be sharing it with you.)
Today’s last – and by no means least – announcement takes us into space. Mars, to be precise. Yes, we have the first (and possibly only) chance to see the extended cut of Ridley Scott’s The Martian on the big screen before its DVD and Blu-ray re-release this October.
All this and much, much more will be happening under The O2’s domed roof this September.
