A lot has changed in a month – these are strange, scary and unprecedented times for people everywhere, including the movie world. But one thing hasn’t changed – Empire is still here, with a brand new, dazzlingly colourful issue full of interviews, set reports, exclusive images and more, looking back at familiar favourites, and forward to some of the most exciting films we’ll all be watching together whenever the time comes.
With a vibrant new look at Wonder Woman 1984, all-new section The Comfort Zone, and a feature written by the most optimistic man in Hollywood, Tom Hanks, the June issue is here to give you a little respite from, well, everything. It’s available from Thursday 16 April – and you can find more info here about how to get a copy. Here's a sneak peek inside this month's mag.
Wonder Woman 1984
Patty Jenkins’ long-awaited sequel brings Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince into the ‘80s, going bigger, bolder, and brighter than ever before. Empire goes on set to get the full story, speaking to Jenkins, Gadot, franchise newcomers Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal, and the mysteriously returning Chris Pine.

Empire speaks to director Nia DaCosta, producer Jordan Peele and star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II to learn all about the timely comeback of the ultimate Black boogeyman: Candyman. Oh god, that is five times, run for your lives!
Tom Hanks
While in quarantine in Australia, the one and only Tom Hanks wrote exclusively for Empire about war, hope, and his upcoming movie Greyhound – a World War II naval drama which he wrote and stars in. Allow one of the most trusting voices in Hollywood to make you feel a little better in these trying times. Read an excerpt online here.
