2019 is a big year for Empire – our 30th birthday year, marking three decades of bringing you the very best that the big screen has to offer. And to kick it all off, our January 2019 issue is packed with goodness, with an exclusive personal essay from James Cameron and massive access to Alita: Battle Angel, his latest sci-fi epic created alongside director Robert Rodriguez. And then, just a few days before going to print, the pop culture legend that is Stan Lee passed away – a man who changed comics, cinema and storytelling forever.
