Gareth Edwards' take on Toho's titanic monster is out in under three months - May 16, 2014, to be precise - but our equally hefty **Godzilla **issue is out tomorrow. Discover... the megazine!
Nearly 30 per cent larger than a regular-sized issue, the megazines are special collectors' items, measuring approximately 26cm by 34cm. You'll be able to buy your own copy (provided you have a large enough bag, of course) tomorrow, Thursday February 27, at WHSmiths across the country (including Travel stores at railway stations and the like), as well as the biggest 50 HMV stores in the UK.
Also available is the normal-sized version, which is just as beautiful despite not being quite as big. The megazine costs £4.99, whereas the normal edition is the usual price of £3.99.
Subscribers will soon receive their issues in the post, which boast another special cover, as revealed two days ago. If you haven't seen it yet, here it is below.{Empire Godzilla Subscribers Cover}
We are also pleased to announce a very special event in honour of the new megazine: between 6pm and 7pm on Friday, February 28, director Gareth Edwards will be signing copies of **Empire at the Forbidden Planet Megastore in London to celebrate our exclusive Godzilla **cover reveal. Be sure to queue up early, as chances are there'll be a line all the way down Shaftesbury Avenue.
Alongside its co-stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston, **Godzilla **will make your local cinema rumble in a worrying fashion on May 16. Have a look at the latest trailer below, and be sure to wear your bassiest earphones before you click play.
