Emma Stone loves Woody Allen movies. So much so, she named her dog Alvie in his honour. So you can imagine her reaction upon learning that he wants her to star in his next, still-to-be-titled project. We’d imagine it’s somewhere between excited clapping and bouncing off the walls.
According to Deadline, Allen is now putting together the film he’ll shoot this summer, which will apparently see him back in France, though more the south of France than Paris this time.
Beyond that, rien much is known. As per usual, the Woodster is keeping the title, plot summary and any other casting details locked away for now, and is somehow able to manage such a feat to a level that even makes J.J. Abrams jealous.
His latest, Blue Jasmine, features Cate Blanchett, Alec Baldwin and Louis C.K., and is set in San Francisco. It’s set for release here on September 20.
As for Stone, she’s been busy on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and will next shoot Alejandro González Iñárritu’s comedy Birdman before moving from there to Cameron Crowe’s next film, which itself is still under wraps. And if all that wasn’t exciting enough, she’s also set to work with Guillermo del Toro on horror tale Crimson Peak.
