Emma Stone Locks In A New Movie

Since their first collaboration, Easy A, scored so well at the box office and won so much critical praise, no one should be that shocked to find director/producer Will Gluck and fast rising star Emma Stone looking to team up again. And so it has come to pass with the pair reuniting for a new, untitled movie.

Deadline reports that Gluck will write, direct and produce the currently untitled (and all but unknown) film as he finishes off work on the Justin Timberlake/Mila Kunis rom-com Friends with Benefits. Stone, of course, will be slightly busy for the next few months, starring alongside Andrew Garfield in Marc Webb’s new Spider-Man. But once she’s finished with the web-slinger, the plan is for her to work on the new film next summer.

Right now, Gluck is just figuring out the rough plan for the script, but his ideas have already gotten excitable Screen Gems boss Clint Culpepper gushing. “Will and Emma blossomed in Easy A, which was easily the most well-liked and best critiqued movie Screen Gems has made,” Culpepper tells Deadline. “To have them want to team again at Screen Gems makes me the happiest and luckiest guy in the business. I think he was afraid I might pour a glass of iced tea over his head had he tried to go anywhere else.” Um… Okay. We’ve heard more dangerous threats from studio bosses, but whatever keeps you happy, Clint.
