Emma Stone found success on the small screen with Netflix's Maniac. She's joining the cast of Uncut Gems co-director Benny Safdie and Nathan For You's Nathan Fielder's new comedy series The Curse.

Safdie will also star in the series, which will explore how an alleged curse disturbs the relationship of a newly married couple as they try to conceive a child while co-starring on their problematic new HGTV show.

A24 is backing the show, which will appear, in the States at least, on cable channel Showtime. Stone has Disney's Cruella due next year and The Croods 2: A New Age lands on 5 February.
