With filming set to get underway this month on the fifth entry in the increasingly inaccurately named** Final Destinatio****n** series (there’s some debate over whether it will suffer under the moniker 5nal Destination, which sounds to us like a 5h!t title), the casting news is continuing apace. The vast majority of the cast were announced earlier in the week, and now Emma Bell has signed on.
The film finds a group of employees out on a company retreat who, thanks to the usual vision of impending doom, survive the collapse of a suspension bridge that suddenly decides to forego the “suspension” part of its name.
David Koechner, Miles Fisher, Nicholas D’Agosto, PJ Byrne and Ellen Wroe are the other main parts of the ensemble, playing various unlikeable types you’ll probably going to hope meet their ends in the predictably bloody and complicated ways that the franchise specialises in.
Bell was last seen in Frozen and she’ll also be a key component of The Walking Dead’s cast.
And in better news, Eric Heisserer’s script brings Tony Todd’s Mr Bludworth back into the fold.
This will be the second film in the Destination series to be shot in 3D, and the producers have hired James Cameron veteran Steven Quale to make his directorial debut. So at least we know it’ll look good…
