Eminem Loads Up

Eminem hasn’t dangled his feet in the water of movies since his success with 8 Mile. But now he’s considering jumping on the TV update bandwagon.

His target? A version of classic TV western (well, classic in the US at least) Have Gun, Will Travel. The series started in 1957 and starred Richard Boone as a shooter-for-hire named Paladin. Think The A-Team in spurs.

But the film would update the concept to modern-day USA, possibly Marshall Mathers’ hometown of Detroit and likely feature the rapper playing a bounty hunter.

"When this property essentially became available we discussed it and brought it to Marshall and he was very intrigued and excited about the concept," Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg told Variety.

So… Eminem as a gun-toting action man? We’ll believe it when we see it.
