Emily Watson and Sandra Oh have signed up for** 33 Liberty Lane**, a rom-com directed by Peter 'Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey' Hewitt, reports The Hollywood Reporter{
Watson and Oh play two of a group of four friends who set up a phone-sex business to help pay the bills. Being unversed in the ways of the sex industry, they turn to a local prostitute to lend some expertise.
The pair will be joined by Nia Vardalos (Oscar-nominated for her My Big Fat Greek Wedding script) and 27 Dresses' Melora Hardin when the camera's start rolling in Winnipeg this summer.
Since guiding Bill and Ted through their Bogus Journey and making The Borrowers, the British-born Hewitt's luck has been out. He coughed up a furball in the shape of live-action cat-astrophe Garfield (which, admittedly, did well at the box office) and is currently toiling on straight-to-TV sequel Home Alone 5: Alone In The Dark.
So will 33 Liberty Lane turn out to be a female Full Monty? It'll be in Cannes next month where Hewitt and producers Su Armstrong and Brian Rosen will be hoping to lock down distribution deals.
