With the cameras now rolling on the supernatural thriller Mary, more casting has been announced, joining Gary Oldman in the ensemble. Emily Mortimer and It's Owen Teague are the latest additions.
Oldman and Mortimer will be a couple facing financial problems who decide that the answer might just be buying up a rickety old ship at auction in the hopes of starting a charter business. There's just one problem... the vessel, once it's out on the open water, bubbles up some horrifying secrets. Well, it wouldn't be much of a supernatural thriller if it didn't, would it?
Director Michael Goi, who has been bringing weird chills to the small screen via American Horror Story, is working on the movie now, based on the script by The Shallows' Anthony Jaswinski.
Oldman is garnering Oscar nomination buzz for his role as Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour (out 12 January 2018), while Mortimer will be seen in Mary Poppins Returns, due December next year. Teague, meanwhile, is part of the cast for an upcoming Black Mirror episode, Arkangel.
