Her dragon-wrangling duties over for another year on Game Of Thrones now that the season four finale has aired, Emilia Clarke has more time to appear in films. She’s currently busy playing Sarah Connor in** Terminator: Genesis **and has signed on for a psychological thriller called** Voice From The Stone.
Eric D. Howell is directing the indie thriller, adapted by Andrew Shaw from Silvio Raffo’s novel, originally written in Italian. It’s all set in 1950s Tuscany, and finds Clarke as a nurse who must help a boy deal with the shock and hurt of his mother’s death. Travelling to the family’s castle to help out, she discovers that the place has a much more malevolent spirit hanging about; one that might threaten her life. Looks like she’ll have to add Buster Of Ghosts to all those Thrones titles her Daenerys Targaryen currently holds.
With work on Terminator: Genesis now underway, Clarke is also circling the role of Bonnie Parker in Go Down Together, and pre-World War I drama The Guns Of August. But it sounds like Voice will be her next firm commitment before she returns for more shooting in Westeros for next season. The new Terminator film, meanwhile, will be out here on June 26 next year.
