**Troll Hunter **director André Øvredal has had to weather the usual changes and delays for his new indie thriller The Autopsy Of Jane Doe. While Martin Sheen was once attached to star, the film will now feature Emile Hirsch and Brian Cox, which seems like a fair trade.

The pair is set as father-and-son coroners who receive the body of a mysterious murder victim, a beautiful young woman. The fact that she’s unidentified is just the first puzzling thing. There’s also the fact that her body shows no apparent cause of death. As they dig into the mystery, they unearth a series of increasingly bizarre clues that in turn lead them to her terrifying secrets...

Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing wrote the script for this one, with Øvredal gearing up for a shoot in London at the end of this month. Fingers crossed it works out this time.

Hirsch, last seen in Lone Survivor, will crop up in Ten Thousands Saints, Vincent-N-Roxxy and Just Jim, the directorial debut of Submarine’s Craig Roberts. Cox has **The Jesuit **and Forsaken in post-production and will be an admiral in Adam Sandler’s latest high-concept action comedy, Pixels, which invades our screens on August 12.
