With Dwayne Johnson already in talks to bring it as Roadblock in G.I. Joe 2, director Jon Chu is looking to up the slinky sex appeal of the film while also maintaining the action quotient. So, according to the Heat Vision Blog, he now has French actress Elodie Yung in talks to sign up.

Yung is probably best known for her kick-ass portrayal of Tao in Patrick Alessandrin’s sequel District 13: Ultimatum, where she was a tattooed hard nut who took on corrupt cops and fought most notably using a knife in her ponytail.

She’s wanted to play Jinx, a young woman from California who discovers family ties to a ninja clan during a trip to Japan and becomes a fully-fledged member after showing off her martial arts prowess. She’s recruited to the military team by fellow ninja Snake Eyes.

From the looks of this, Chu and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura are looking to recruit a brand new bunch of troops for the film, with only Channing Tatum so far confirmed to return as Duke, though on the basis of this, Ray Park is likely to be back as Snake Eyes.

While Yung’s casting in the film is not confirmed, you will be able to see her on screen next in David Fincher’s version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
