She’s been best known as the ditzy Erin on The Office, but Ellie Kemper has been making her mark on the big screen for a few years now in the likes of Bridesmaids. She’s scored another film role, signing on to Jake Kasdan’s new comedy **Sex Tape.
Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz star in the film, which finds a married couple happy to hand their kids off for a night and rekindle the romance by making a naughty recording in the bedroom.
Unfortunately, they discover upon waking that a copy of the recording has been synced – this being the cloud computing age and all – to several devices, including one belonging to Diaz’ mother and another to the couple’s postman.
So begins a mad dash to get it back from everyone, and particularly to stop it falling into the hands of weirdoes such as a toy company boss (Rob Lowe) and a porn baron (Jack Black). There’s no indication as to which role Kemper has taken yet.
Rob Corddry is also aboard the film, which Kate Angelo wrote and Segel, Kasdan and Nick Stoller have since polished. The cameras are rolling right now and Sex Tape will hit our screens on August 1 next year.
