No one has seen Woody Allen's current film, Wonder Wheel yet, but with that locked, set and delivered, the prolific director is already putting the pieces together for his next project. And it appears he's aiming for a younger main cast than usual, with Elle Fanning, Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez in the lead roles.
What will this film be about? Oh, that we could tell you, but as usual Allen has released exactly zero details. We can guess that the jazzy soundtrack and typical title font, will be present and correct, and you'd guess that neuroses might be part of the plot, but beyond that? Nada. Zilch. Nothing. One assumes, given that he's assembling the cast, that he's aiming to start shooting relatively shortly.
Wonder Wheel, meanwhile, boasts the likes of Kate Winslet, Justin Timberlake and Juno Temple and is set around 1950s Coney Island. Amazon Studios has the rights to that movie in the US (as it does the new one) and it'll be out there on 1 December. There's no sign yet of a UK release date.
