Unless the team decides to make another change and extended its timeline again, The Crown won't reach the point where it has to tackle the whole Harry and Meghan drama. But it'll still handle a previous Royal situation, the rocky marriage and tragic end of Lady Diana Spencer's life. We now know that Elizabeth Debicki will play her.
Peter Morgan and the rest of the show's production team have been assembling the latest cast to play the royals in the fifth and sixth series of the show.
Imelda Staunton will be the queen, with Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip and Lesley Manville playing Princess Margaret. We'll have to wait and see who Netflix chooses to be the latest Prince Charles, who weds Diana, but as history attests, it doesn't end well.
Series 4 of the show, with the current cast including Olivia Colman, Tobias Menzies, Helena Bonham Carter and Josh O'Connor will return later this year. Series 5 probably won't arrive before 2022 because of a planned production break and looking to avoid pandemic problems.
As for Debicki, she'll next be seen in Christopher Nolan's Tenet, hitting UK cinemas (after much delay) on 26 August.
