Elijah Wood Signs On For Happy Feet 2

In a not entirely shocking move - after all, we knew George Miller was working on a sequel - Elijah Wood and Robin Williams have both signed on for Happy Feet 2.

Wood will return to the central role of Mumbles, the penguin cursed with a crap singing voice but prodigious dancing ability who starts a revolution among his feathered brethren. Williams is back as both wise-cracking Ramon (expect another round of his usual insane improv) and Lovelace.

The Hollywood Reporter doesn't have any story details, but it does manage to shoehorn in an awful joke about the plot elements being "on ice". Oh, our sides.

The acting pair are being flown to Australia early next year to record their contributions and Miller, who wrote the script, already has the team at Animal Logic starting to crank out animation. Can it win another Oscar and storm the box office? It'll have to sing for its (fish) supper! See, we can make lame penguin jokes too.
