If you heard Eli Roth rapping at your door, asking to be let in, would you open it? After all, how do you know he won’t be bringing all manner of terrible things in with him? Still, cinema audiences will hear him say Knock Knock, because he’s co-written and will direct the new horror movie.

Knock Knock marks a reunion with his Aftershock collaborators Nicolas Lopez and Guillermo Amoedo, but this time the Chilean duo are simply on writing duties, and, at least for now, it appears Roth will stay behind the camera to call the shots instead of stepping in front of it.

The story follows what happens when two young girls show up unexpectedly at the home of a married man. In quick succession, they seduce him and start to wreak havoc on his peaceful, ordered, seemingly perfect life. In keeping with Roth’s recent run of either producing or directing thriftily budgeted movies such as Aftershock and T****he Green Inferno, this one will be a sub-$10 million job, scheduled to begin shooting in April.

Roth also has plans to make Beyond The Green Inferno and Warner Bros.’ Dracula-inspired film Harker is tapping its watch and looking at him expectantly.
